Electric vehicles are more available than ever in Chantilly, and no one understands this better than Mercedes-EQ! Mercedes-EQ is responsible for top-notch luxury electric vehicles like the EQE, EQS, and EQB. These vehicles offer strong performance specs, legendary comfort, and the latest next-generation electric technology under the hood.
But how does Mercedes-EQ compare to the other foremost electric vehicle manufacturer, Tesla? If you’re on the fence about deciding between a Mercedes-EQ or Tesla vehicle for your next ride, check out the comparison guide below!
Let’s kick off our guide by seeing just what you can get from each of these electric automakers. Mercedes-EQ currently offers five vehicles in its lineup, including sedans and SUVs, with each model offering three to four available trim levels to choose from. In comparison, Tesla only offers four models, each with just two to three configurations.
Pricing is quite similar for both automakers–although Mercedes-EQ is slightly pricier out of the gate, it has comparable prices to Tesla at the top of its lineup. Check out the full list of available models for both automakers below:
2023 EQB SUV: MSRP from $52,750*
2023 EQE Sedan: MSRP from $74,900*
2023 EQE SUV: MSRP from $77,900*
2023 EQS SUV: MSRP from $104,400*
2023 EQS Sedan: MSRP from $104,400*
2023 Tesla Model 3: MSRP from $42,990
2023 Tesla Model Y: MSRP from $54,990
2023 Tesla Model S: MSRP from $89,990
2023 Tesla Model X: MSRP from $99,990
It’s true that when you compare the new EQS vs. Tesla Model S, the Model S takes the advantage in terms of raw performance specs. However, experts note that the Mercedes-EQ pulls ahead in a major way when it comes to Interior luxury! For example, in their review of the new EQS sedan, Car and Driver lauded it as “the most technologically advanced luxury sedan” and wrote that it “offers the latest and greatest in gadgetry.”
Meanwhile, in a review of the new Tesla Model S, Car and Driver drew attention to its “mid-luxe interior” and called the Tesla self-driving beta “somewhat dubious.” Here are some of our favorite luxury comforts and conveniences that come with a Mercedes-EQ vehicle, that cannot be found on a Tesla equivalent:
