The GLE 350 is engineered with a turbo 4-cylinder engine and a nine-speed automatic transmission. It offers 255 horsepower and 295 pound-feet of torque. Rear-wheel drive is standard. The GLE 450e 4MATIC®, on the other hand, is a PHEV. It comes with a turbo four-cylinder engine and an electric motor. This trim level gives you 381 horsepower and offers up to a 49-mile all-electric range. It has the same nine-speed automatic transmission that the GLE 350 has, and 4MATIC® all-wheel drive is standard.
Appearance
The Mercedes-Benz GLE is a regal SUV with sleek yet crisp contouring running horizontally down the sides and equally defined accents rolling down the hood. From the side view, you can appreciate the open-triangle spokes on the wheels and the tall yet raked roof. The wide grille sports angled sides and a slightly curved bottom. It is styled with a large Mercedes-Benz logo and chrome, vertical accent lines. The headlights stand out with both LED bulbs and LED bar accents. A power liftgate is standard for both trim levels.

The interior and safety features available in the GLE 450e 4MATIC® are identical to those offered in the GLE 350.
