What’s New for the 2026 Mercedes-Benz CLA 250+ with EQ Technology?
In 2026, the CLA launches its first all-electric powertrain system. The entry-level trim for the CLA EV is called the CLA 250+ with EQ Technology. This impressive model delivers the smooth, powerful driving experience you want, with the added benefits of zero carbon emissions and no stops at the gas station. In addition to the new EV system, the CLA 250+ with EQ Technology holds several other updates compared to last year’s CLA.
The CLA 250+ with EQ Technology is equipped with a single electric motor. This is a rear-wheel drive system that generates 268 horsepower. This sedan shoots up to 60 miles per hour from a standstill in only 6.6 seconds.
For the first time, the AMG® Lite Package is now available for the CLA. With this package, your new sedan will have a rear spoiler and 18-inch AMG® wheels. You can also add the AMG® Night Package for the first time. This package upgrades your CLA Sedan with a sport steering wheel, a lowered suspension system, sport seats, and AMG®-specific design elements.
The aesthetics have also been upgraded with the new availability of Sage Grey paint and black upholstery. With the rear placement of the electric motor, the model’s trunk has transitioned into a frunk, or front trunk, for the CLA 250+ with EQ Technology.
With the exception of these updates, the CLA is unchanged from 2025. The design is upscale yet effortless with a graceful flow across the profile and streaming, converging accents on the sides. The stardust-style grille tapers to a point on the sides and sports a wide, chrome element that holds the brand’s logo. The lower air inlets make a commanding statement and are linked by a narrow, black band. The LED-outlined headlights are also tapered for a sporty effect.
Features offered in the CLA 250+ with EQ Technology include a heated and leather-wrapped steering wheel, paddle shifters, a panoramic sunroof, synthetic leather upholstery, a dual-zone auto climate control system, remote engine start, a voice assistance, a blind-spot warning system, a 10.25-inch digital instrument panel, a 10.25-inch touch display screen, automated parking assistance, a wireless phone charger, and several additional features.
