Mercedes-Benz Goes All-Electric

By 2030, Mercedes-Benz plans to sell electric vehicles exclusively, wherever market conditions allow them to do so. In order to prepare for this sea change, they’ve already started to roll out the models that will increasingly become mainstays on South Riding and Centerville roads:

The EQS

The brand’s first modern 100% electric vehicle is the EQS—a sedan that rivals the flagship S-Class in terms of luxury and quality. It’s now available as a 2022 model, and we’d be happy to show you more about its price, range, or interior features.

The EQS SUV is built on the exact same platform as the EQS, but it offers more of the features that SUV drivers desire. It’s expected to arrive as a 2023 model later in 2022.

The EQE

The EQE is also a sedan, but it will be smaller than the EQS. You should think of it as being on par with the popular Mercedes-Benz E-Class. Relatively little is known about the EQE so far, but it’s expected to offer a 90 kWh battery capacity, ENERGIZING AIR CONTROL®, and plenty of other niceties. It’s slated for a late-2022 release date, and it will most likely be assigned to model-year 2023.

The EQB

The EQB is an all-electric SUV that will be built on its own platform. As with the other models we’ve covered so far, the EQB can use DC Fast Charging to refuel from 10% to 80% in around 30 minutes! When it arrives in 2022, it will be offered with two powertrain options and a 66.5 kWh battery capacity—perfect for daily drives through Chantilly and Ashburn.
